WHAT GOT YOU INTERESTED IN GLASS IN THE FIRST PLACE?
I was meeting some local glass artists at the skatepark.
WHERE DID YOU LEARN YOUR SKILLS?
90% trial and error, 10% talking with friends!
DO YOU CREDIT ANY OTHER GLASS BLOWERS WITH HELPING YOU ACHIEVE YOUR SUCCESS?
I credit everyone I’ve ever talked shop with for helping me on the way. From Bluejay to Banjo with a special shout out to Freeman Corbin.
TALK TO ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR STYLE.
My art stems from repetition of the process. until the final punty is removed it’s all “prep” work and there are no shortcuts.
WHAT MATERIALS DO YOU MOST LIKE TO WORK WITH?
Solid Color!
WHAT’S THE MOST FAVOURITE PIECE YOU’VE EVER MADE?
“Labor of Love”, my first Circletech sculpture of the Eiffel tower.
WHAT WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT ON THE PATH TO “MAKING IT” AS A GLASS ARTIST?
I knocked over and broke a 100 section tube in front of a perspective buyer.
AND WHAT WAS YOUR BEST MOMENT?
Every time I turn the kiln off on a hard days work.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW GLASS ARTISTS?
Ramen is underrated!
Non glass friends are overratted,

Life size glass version of Van Gogh’s Starry Night is high on the list.
WHO WOULD YOU LIKE, MOST OF ALL IN THIS WORLD, TO HIT YOU UP FOR A PIECE, AND WHAT PIECE WOULD YOU MAKE FOR HIM/HER?
I know it’s impossible because he’s dead, but I’d love to make a rose cage encasement for Walt Disney.
WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR GLASS ARTISTRY IN THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY?
The biggest innovation I see is more like a separation between craftsmanship, art and production sweat shop jank.
IF YOU WERE SHIPWRECKED ON A DESERT ISLAND AND YOU COULD ONLY HAVE THREE ESSENTIAL PIECES WITH YOU, WHICH WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
A firestarter marble, A decanter to hold water hopefully Micah Evans or Scotty Mickle caliber and one of Matt DuBois Daglasscus knives.
